The culmination of Senior Engineer Raith Sienar’s Twin-Ion Engine starfighter project, the TIE/st, or TIE Standard, has become the mainline space superiority fighter of the Galactic Dominion. Cheap to construct, maintain, and train pilots on, thousands upon thousands of these craft can be found across Dominion space, either assigned to planetary garrisons and orbital space stations, or carried aboard its various warships, especially the mile-long Imperator-class star destroyers. While relatively fragile compared to the Galactic Republic snubfighters, TIEs are incredibly fast and maneuverable. The TIE/st boasts a small shield generator to make it more survivable in a dogfight, and a communications suite to coordinate with other flights to make sufficient use of the swarm tactics ideal for TIE squadrons.
